Humanitarian Organization for Support People (HOSP) is a registered with Ministry of Economy (MoEC) as non- profit, non-political and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established in 2024 with objectives to improve not only socio- economic status of the underprivileged and disadvantaged community women, older person, children and youth but also to support improved service delivery and reducing poverty & vulnerability through local action, specifically in health, education, agriculture irrigation, social services and women empowerment. Hence, the opportunity to organize this human capacity outside the government in the form of non-government institutions to enable the communities to address their basic and emergency need through community based local interventions supported by a non-for profit institution has considered to be vital at this critical time.
MISSION of HOSP:
To reach out to the marginalized groups in the society aiming at poverty reduction through agriculture & irrigation and social welfare including healthcare, education and women empowerment. Awareness of underprivileged community about gender and their rights prospective through community participation for sustainable development.
VISION of HOSP:
Committed to create strong and independent society where inequalities and discrimination have no place and in which everybody would enjoy equal opportunities.
GOAL of HOSP: Overall socio-economic development of underprivileged people specially women and poor people of the rural areas in Afghanistan.
Job Summary
The Humanitarian Organization for Support People (HOSP) is dedicated to empowering marginalized communities in Afghanistan, particularly through healthcare, education, and capacity building of women. HOSP project focuses on capacity building of vulnerable Afghan women and girls, especially those affected by conflict, displacement, and socio-political challenges. The Project Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that HOSP project is effective, efficient, and impactful.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Overall management of project resources including material resources as well as human resources under his supervision
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management.
- Coordinate and assign resources such as personnel, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure team members have the necessary skills and resources to complete tasks.
- Prepare and manage the project budget, with the collaboration of Finance department.
- Analyze project path, and implement variance analysis with the collaboration of M&E Department in order to identify if the project is bellow or above the budget and take corrective actions if necessary.
- Monitor expenditures and ensure the project stays within financial limits.
- Develop and maintain project schedules.
- Ensure tasks are completed on time and track deadlines.
- Identify potential project risks and develop strategies for mitigating them.
- Monitor risks throughout the project lifecycle and adjust plans as necessary.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and upper management.
- Provide project updates, status reports, and manage expectations.
- Lead and motivate project team members.
- Facilitate collaboration, resolve conflicts, and provide support to ensure the project runs smoothly.
- Ensure the project meets quality standards and complies with regulations.
- Monitor the quality of deliverables and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and logs.
- Provide final project reports and lessons learned to stakeholders upon completion.
- Oversee project execution to ensure it aligns with the approved plans.
- Monitor progress and adjust plans as necessary to keep the project on track.
- Ensure all project objectives are met and deliverables are completed.
- Liaising with relevant government authorities in project-related issues
- Representing HOSP in cluster coordination meetings in Bamyan and target areas.
- Updating HOSP management on the status of the project through submitting monthly, quarterly and final project reports
- Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and identify areas for improvement
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in economics, law, or other related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in project management.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, data collection tools, and data analysis techniques. Proficiency in data analysis software such as Excel.
- Language: Fluency in, Dari and know English languages.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and report-writing skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
